An occupational physician is mandatory and must be appointed by the company, by those organizations (companies) that are responsible for monitoring the health of workers, whenever health risks are identified (for example, medical examinations at work).
All this is established by the Consolidated Law on Health and Safety at Work Legislative Decree 81/08 in article 41 with regards to occupational medicine.
