1985
ORIGINS AND FOUNDATION
The history of the VLR Group began in the late 1980s, when Pietro Velardi opened a small fire prevention workshop in Mugnano di Napoli, Campania, specializing in the sale, maintenance, and assistance of portable and wheeled fire extinguishers.
Combining entrepreneurial passion, the business quickly stood out for its attention to quality and safety in a rapidly evolving market.
Over the years, the range of services expanded: from the simple supply of fire extinguishers, they also included fire doors, complete fire protection systems, equipment rental, and regulatory consulting. An article in the newspaper La Repubblica noted that the company, operating under the group's "SME Antincendio" division, boasted "over 30 years of history" and a consolidated presence in the Campania, Lombardy, and Puglia regions.
2000
BRAND GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
Thanks to a strong focus on service, scheduled maintenance, and the adoption of digital solutions (e.g., terminals for field technicians, activity monitoring, and an online customer portal), VLR Group is gradually increasing its national presence.
Branches are opened in strategic areas: Naples/Arzano for the South, Milan/Pieve Emanuele for the North, Bari for Puglia and a branch in Spain (Ibiza) to enter the international market.

TERRITORIAL EXPANSION AND DIVERSIFICATION
The group has chosen a multi-location strategy: operational offices in key cities, widespread coverage throughout Italy, and a presence abroad (Spain) to also tap the tourist property and short-term rental markets, where fire safety regulations require ever greater attention.
At the same time, the range of services has diversified: no longer just fire extinguishers, but also fire doors, emergency exits, smoke detection systems, equipment rental, fire personnel training, and regulatory consultancy.

POSITIONING AND FUTURE PROSPECTS
Today VLR Group presents itself as an integrated player in the world of fire safety, able to offer a "complete package" to the customer: consultancy supply installation maintenance rental training.
Looking ahead, prospects include:
